Ralston Waste Tracking
DEFRA waste tracking, with almost no admin.
We automate as much as your site allows, so your team spends as little time on it as possible and, where we can, none at all. Reports go to DEFRA’s digital waste tracking service every day, and we keep the record.

Since 1 October 2026, permitted and licensed waste receiving sites in England and Wales must report the waste they receive digitally. Scotland and Northern Ireland follow on 1 January 2027.

- 01We start from what you already record
We look at how loads are recorded on your site today, whether that’s a weighbridge, job sheets or a spreadsheet, and at what DEFRA asks for.
- 02We automate what we can
If your records already show what actually arrived, we aim to take the details straight from there. If not, your team gets one short list a day: tick the loads that arrived and add the real amounts.
- 03Reports go to DEFRA on their own
Loads are sent to DEFRA’s digital waste tracking service automatically, and DEFRA’s reference is kept against each one.
Little work. No guesswork.
- Only the loads that arrived
Your team never declares what didn’t turn up or signs off the day. Anything that didn’t arrive is simply left alone.
- Nothing for your team to chase
Your team isn’t emailed or asked to sort out problems with DEFRA. That’s our job.
- Nothing is guessed
If anything looks uncertain, reporting pauses until it has been checked.
- Never sent twice by accident
If DEFRA’s reply about a load is unclear, the load is never sent again automatically.
- A record of every load
Each load keeps the quantities and times it was confirmed with, alongside DEFRA’s reference.
- Looked after by us
We host it and keep it running. You deal with the people who built it.
Already running.
Ready on day one when DEFRA’s digital waste tracking went live. Their team ticks off the loads that arrived and adds the amounts; reporting to DEFRA happens on its own. 120 loads in the first three weeks.
Will it fit your site?
Every site is different. Tell us what you receive and how loads are recorded today, and we’ll tell you plainly whether it fits and how much of it we can automate.
